Social welfare - Certificate of Indigency

The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) provides free legal assistance to indigents. It requires a Certificate of Indigency to acquire this service.

1. Registration
A client writes his/her name and purpose of the visit on the logbook, and affixes his /her signature.

2. Interview
CSWD officer shall interview the client to get pertinent information; client may be required to sketch of his/her residence for home visits. The interview shall be recorded in an intake sheet.
  
3. Home Visit
CSWD conducts a home visit to the client, if necessary.
  
4. Preparation of certificate
A CSWD personnel prepares a social case study and three (3) copies of the report shall be printed.
  
5. Approval & Release of Certificate
CSWD Chief Officer approves the social case study report and the client is provided with his/her copy.
