Laguna officials here for a 3-day team building
Date: July 17, 2006

The Laguna provincial government has strengthened its team here at the City of the Hundred Islands.

Laguna Governor Teresita “Ningning” S. Lazaro led the 3-day Advancing Executive Supervisory Skills Training-Seminar at Lucap Wharf from July 13-15, 2006 for the heads of different departments.

On hand to welcome friends from the home of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, were City Mayor Hernani A. Braganza and City Administrator Wilmer S. Panabang.

Braganza, in a dinner party at Pension House, expressed gratefulness to the Laguna government for choosing Alaminos as the venue for their team building-seminar.

“May your stay here be an enjoyable one and be very fruitful in the realization of your noble thrusts for your provincemates,” added the Mayor.

We hope that we could also visit your place and learn from your laudable programs in the future.”

Gov. Lazaro, the well-loved, dedicated, hardworking and caring mother of the province, thanked the Mayor and the people of Alaminos for the warm reception accorded them.

This is not the first time the lady governor and her family unwind here.

Earlier this year, she had a whirlwind visit at the Hundred Islands for a well-deserved rest from the monotonous and strenuous jobs at the capitol, get re-united with Mother Nature and energized by the crystal blue and cool waters and pristine beauty of the islands.

The department heads are planning to come back late this year to fully experience the real adventure at the park along with their friends and other government employees.

Last November 2005, the Cagayan provincial government headed by Gov. Edgar R. Lara also visited the national park.

In December last year, the Marikina City government also held its team building here .

The Shoe Capital of the Philippines is one of the sister cities of Alaminos, the other one is the City of West Sacramento, California, USA.

The city has been a favorite haven for hundred municipal and city LGU’s, organizations and private entities from all over the country since the Hundred Islands has finally been turned over to the city government last Sept.29, 2005.

They came over either for day and study tours, seminars and conferences, re-unions or parties, long vacation or photo shoots and learn as well from the city government’s success story not just in the field of tourism but also on agriculture and socio-economic development. (CIO)
