The city conducts a Basic Computer Literacy Training Program for 39 Barangay Treasurers at the ICT Center at Alaminos Central School. In line with the city''s modernization and computer literacy training program, the treasurers will take basic lessons on word processing, internet surfing, use of applications such as Excel and Powerpoint and understanding of basic computer system, by ICT Instructors.
The said workshop which will run a minimum of six fridays starting today, aims to train barangay officials about computers and be able to use them in making speedy and effective transactions in their respective barangays, as well as modernize the storage of barangay records.
The city is set to conduct the same training for barangay secretaries and other barangay officials in the future, thus thrusting fully toward a modernized, competitive barangay.
