Humilde elected as vice-mayors’ league prexy

 Vice Mayor Teofilo G. Humilde Jr., was elected unopposed as the president of the Vice Mayor’s League of the Philippine( VMLP)-Pangasinan Chapter in a recent election held at Hotel Consuelo in Lingayen town.
Humilde, who is now on his third and final term as presiding officer of the (Alaminos) city council, also headed the Vice Mayors League for Region 1 in 2004.
He was also the past executive vice-president of league’s provincial chapter for two consecutive terms.
Mayor Hernani A. Braganza and the members of the city’s august body have already extended their warm congratulations to the dynamic vice-mayor.
They even vowed to support Humilde’s priority thrusts for the league.
As the league’s new president, the vice mayor is expected to further solidify unity and cooperation among the members within the league.
The former provincial planning and development coordinator will likewise work hard to re-strengthen the league’s ties with the new administration of Gov. Amado T. Espino Jr.
Being a law graduate and also as an outstanding former three term city solon, Humilde sees the need for the league to pursue more worthy legislations.
These include measures or ordinances that would improve the quality of life of the people and energize their respective local economy and that of the province.
And his chairmanship in the league’s regional chapter would definitely help him institute reforms and push for developmental initiatives for the league. (CIO)
