BREQS is now on its 3rd year
Date:
For almost 3 years now, the Batch Request Entry System (BREQS) being offered by the Local Civil Registry (LCR) remains to be one of the top services provided by the city government today.
BREQS is a scheme where National Statistics Office (NSO) authorizes the city government to receive request for NSO – issued copies and certifications of civil registry documents from the public and issue the documents to its clientele.
The BREQS-LGU System was first implemented here on February 2, 2009 following the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement by Mayor Hernani A. Braganza and Engr. Alfredo Batoy, NSO regional director.
City Civil Registrar Reynaldo Castro said these extended services of LCR is a very welcome development especially among clients who are in dire need of their Civil Registry documents in security paper (SECPA).
“BREQS became an instant hit to Alaminians and also to our districtmates the moment it was first announced and implemented by our office,” he stressed.
“Many of our citymates and even our clients from nearby towns in the district have availed of the services of BREQS,” he continued.
“We even received good feedbacks from them that made us believe we have indeed succeeded in implementing this program which is of course in support to Mayor Hernani A. Braganza’s 10 Point Development Agenda for our city”.
Castro noted that their clients find the system very convenient in securing their documents from NSO as they can save more time, money and effort by just visiting their office to pay P100 for the service fee and the amount of civil registry documents regardless of type of document they needed.
The payment for NSO copy of Certificate of Live Birth and Certificate of Marriage is P140.00 per copy, while the NSO copy of Certificate of No Marriage Record/ Advisory on Marriages is P195.00 per copy.
BREQS boost its on-line method of encoding requests for civil registry documents not only for those who are registered here in Alaminos but also those that may have been registered in other localities or Serbilis Outlet of the NSO.
This year, the city government of Alaminos particularly the LCR expects more Alaminians and district folks who will avail of this innovative system to relieve them from the inconvenience of going to the nearest NSO.
And as always, the city’s civil registry is ready to render swift and quality services to its clientele by its diligent and dedicated staff, which it is known for all these years. (CIO)
