Barangays
Poblacion, forming part of Alaminos, Pangasinan, is the nexus of trade. It is situated in the heart of Alaminos. How Alaminos got its name accounted the story of two children, a Spanish born and a Filipino child arguing about their game. The Filipino child said “alam” which means “to get” but the Spanish child said “minos” which means “less.” Their dispute reached the authorities and it was all about the words “alam” and “minos.” When it was settled on, they coined the words into "Alaminos”.
