Barangays
During the older days, Barangay San Jose was named so in honor of the patron Saint Joseph. It is bounded on the northern part by Alaminos, Cayucay on the east, San Antonio on the west and Barangay Pogo on the south. Long ago, 90% of San Jose is covered by forest but was cultivated into a ricefield. Farming became a primary source of living. Half of Barangay San Jose is surrounded by a river and this is very useful in their agricultural production.
